Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
What's the difference between MIT Core and PRO licenses?
The MIT Core is 100% free forever with full functionality - perfect for evaluation, open-source projects, and non-commercial use. The PRO license (from £249/year) is required for commercial applications and includes priority email support with 48h response time. Same features, just different licensing terms.
Can I use Vantepo for free in my commercial SaaS product?
Commercial applications require a license. You can use the MIT Core freely during development and evaluation. When you're getting ready to deploy commercially, you'll need an applicable license.
What frameworks does Vantepo support?
Vantepo is built with Web Components and works natively with React, Vue, Angular, and vanilla JavaScript. Framework wrappers are included at no extra cost. Switch frameworks without rewriting your scheduling logic - adapters and components work identically across all frameworks.
How does Vantepo compare to competitors?
Vantepo is 2-4x cheaper (PRO Individual at £249 vs £649-1,259 for competitors), has zero runtime dependencies (15KB vs 45-120KB), and is the only scheduler built Web Components-first. We focus exclusively on scheduling, so our API is simpler and more focused than general-purpose libraries.
What support options are available?
MIT Core users get community support via GitHub Discussions. PRO customers receive email support with 48-hour response time. Enterprise customers (£3,999/year) get 24-hour response SLA and dedicated technical support for architecture and integration questions.
Can I customize the scheduler's appearance?
Yes! Vantepo includes a theming system with CSS variables for colors, spacing, fonts, and borders. You can create light/dark themes, match your brand identity and build custom themes. See our docs for more information.
Pricing & Licensing
Do I need a license for development?
No! Use the MIT Core free during development and evaluation. You only need a PRO license when you deploy a commercial application to production.
Who counts as a 'developer'?
A developer is anyone who writes code that directly uses Vantepo's Component library (API). End users, designers, QA testers, and DevOps engineers don't count toward your license limit.
Can I switch frameworks?
Yes! All framework wrappers (React, Vue, Angular, JavaScript) are included at no extra cost. Switch frameworks without changing your license or paying more.
Is there a trial period?
The MIT Core IS the trial - it's fully functional forever. Evaluate thoroughly before purchasing a commercial license. We also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all PRO licenses.
What if I need more than 20 developers?
The Enterprise tier includes unlimited developers. For very large teams (50+), we can discuss custom pricing with volume discounts.
How does Vantepo compare to competitors?
Vantepo is 2-4x cheaper than alternatives (AG Grid: £999+, Bryntum: €1,259+, DHTMLX: $649+). Plus, we're the only scheduler built Web Components-first with zero dependencies.
